The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra’s Learning & Community department is proud to announce the launch of their newest program for students, the Music Mentors program! Through this program, the Symphony’s chamber groups will inspire the next generation of musicians and music lovers. During each visit, the musicians of the groups will perform for the budding student musicians and give the students expert tips on how to bring their musicianship to the next level. The chamber ensembles include our Reed Trio, our Brass Quintet and our String Quartet. Choose the one that works best for your ensemble or request all three for maximum student learning!

This program is primarily targeted towards Middle and High school band and orchestra teachers, but other music classes of the same age group can benefit from these visits as well!

Up to 2.5 hours of total instructional time – includes a short performance by the chamber group requested, as well as a Question and Answer with the musicians, sectionals or a sit-in rehearsal (where the chamber musicians sit in on a rehearsal with the students and offer comments) per class period
