The Saline Chamber Choir is one of 6 vocal ensembles in the Saline High School Choral Program. Students in grades 10-12 make up this select group of singers. The Chamber Choir performs a wide variety of mixed, men’s, and women’s repertoire at many concert events throughout the year. They have previously performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Detroit Opera House, and will perform at the Chicago Symphony Center this spring.
They consistently receive top ratings at MSVMA Choral Festivals and Solo & Ensemble events. Annual Masterwork performances have included Haydn’s Little Organ Mass, the Vivaldi Gloria, and Schubert’s Mass in G. Chamber Choir members’ dedication to fine, expressive singing has built their prestigious reputation in the Saline community. They sing under the direction of Sarah Price.
Sarah Price is director of choirs at Saline High School in the Saline Area Schools, where she directs three curricular choirs, oversees three extra-curricular ensembles, and also teaches guitar, a cappella basics, and music theory. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education from Michigan State University and is currently working on her Master’s of Choral Conducting at MSU in the summers. Sarah is also an active performer around the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas.
