April 20, 2022 (Ann Arbor, MI) — Conductor and Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Music Director candidate Earl Lee has been announced as the recipient of the prestigious 2022 Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award.

Presented annually to a single American conductor displaying great talent and promise, the award provides invaluable guidance and financial support to further the next stage of the recipient’s careers. In a historic milestone, Lee is the first conductor of Asian heritage to win the award.
